NYTRO members may purchase a land use permit which
allows them access to all the NYTRO managed properties. These lands may be
accessed at any time with the exception of closure during deer
hunting season.
These lands have been secured through private
business, logging or paper companies, and private landowners. Use of
these lands is a privilege and not a right. Access to these lands
may be lost at any time if we do not observe the simple rules listed
below. These rules are a requirement for use and must be followed.
Failure to follow these rules may result in your loss of land use
privileges or in extreme cases, expulsion from the club.
Rules for use of NYTRO managed
lands:
- Registration and insurance are required and a
copy of both must be sent in to NYTRO for verification
- Land use permit sticker must be applied to the
front fender of machine and visible for inspection
- Helmet must be worn at all times when riding
- Eye protection is required
- Stay on marked trails! If you are unsure,
DO NOT proceed down the trail! Some trails go off to
private areas and are used by local residents. If there is no
visible marking, stay out
- Obey all signage, including posted signs
- Pack out all you brought in! Leave no
visible signs of your use. NO TRASH may be left on sight.
If you find trash at the site, please do your best to pick it up
and notify us.
- Park in designated areas only
- DRUGS AND ALCOHOL ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED AND
MONITORED! ANYONE CAUGHT VIOLATING THIS POLICY WILL BE
EXPELLED FROM THE CLUB.
- Visitors or NON-NYTRO members, or guests of
members must meet requirements of NYTRO land use to meet our
insurance requirements. Non members may use the
lands when accompanied by a current land use permit holder. NYTRO land use managers must be notified in advance of use. NYTRO limits non member usage to a one time visit only. Future use will require membership and land use permit status.
