Guest policy There have been a lot of members asking about the insurance we have and what it would cover. The basic question “are my personal assets covered” I have been making a lot of inquiries with our current insurance company. This is what I have found out so far. If you are a member or an officer you are covered under the current policy. Basically members cannot bring a lawsuit against themselves. Our current policy covers the landowner and trespassers. This is where it gets a little complicated. If you as a member bring a guest to the property and they get hurt they CAN bring a lawsuit against you personally and the club. To cover everyone we will now be requiring ALL guests to sign a waiver before they visit our trails. This waiver is good for just ONE day. There are a few members that cannot ride alone and have special circumstances that require a guest to accompany them at all times. These members will be required to have their guest sign a new waiver every time they ride on the property. If you have a single membership and 1 machine and you bring a family member to ride along with you, you must have them sign a waiver every time they are with you. The guests are your responsibility and you are responsible for turning in all waivers. I am still looking in to trying to get a rider or a added policy to protect us against any guest that are invited to the property. There will be a mailbox/lock box at the property by the sign for your access. If you are there and see them getting low please let one of the officers know so that we can get more up there. Thank you Chris and Beth for making copies. Officer Insurance. We have been looking in to this also, we have decided to wait to see what NYTRO is going to do. If NYTRO is going to purchase a policy for all chapter we will join in with them. If NYTRO decides not to purchase a policy we will re-visit our options. Hugh’s Property - Do not Hunt this property. We had a few members attend our Demon lake August 21 ride. It was a good day for riding! Our next Chapter outing is Demon Lake Oct 10th Poker Run. Please email if you are planning on attending. Members attended the Tug Hill Expo this past weekend. Saturday was cold! But we were able to put a few miles on and enjoy some great scenery and riding!
